Community-based carbon offsets (rural biogas), not durable removals Infosys uses high-quality carbon offsets from its own ground-implemented projects rather than purchasing market credits. Portfolio of 9 carbon offset projects, primarily household biogas in rural India (e.g. new Vidarbha, Maharashtra project in FY21). Projects reached 119,000 families and created 2,600+ jobs to date. These are avoidance/community-development offsets — not durable engineered removals (DAC/BECCS/biochar).
