By 2023, over 70% of worldwide electricity was renewable, achieved through transitions at various sites and the launch of a 1.2 MW solar plant at corporate headquarters in Ingelheim. Projects cover reforestation, biodiversity and clean energy and add social value in communities in Canada, China, Malawi and Peru. The firm does not separate durable removals from avoidance credits.

Primary: Internal carbon price of EUR 100/tCO2 to steer CapExData confidence — high

An internal carbon price of EUR 100 per ton CO2 is applied to investment decisions to foster low-carbon technologies and solutions. This is reinforced by the MORE GREEN Fund (EUR 130 million) which has supported over 65 CapEx projects since 2020, focused on decarbonization, circular economy, water management and biodiversity.
